Follow ancient pathways linking isolated farms, quaintvillages and exquisite churches; the outstanding beauty of the Amalfi coast canonly be fully appreciated on foot. Our base is a former 16th century monasterysurrounded by gardens, terraces, lemon groves and grape vines, where meals areoverlooking the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.

Day 1 Arrive Furore (D)

Arrive in Furore at any time.

Day 2 Ravello (B,D)

Visit the city of Ravello, made famous by Wagner. This cityof music is filled with galleries, churches and streets to explore. Enjoy somegreat Italian gelato and sit on a patio and watch the world go by.

Day 3 Land's End Walk (B,L,D)

Begin your scenic walk to Punta Campanella/Baia di Leranto.Sprinkle your full day of walking with plenty of opportunities to sample thedelicious local cuisine. Even the most novice photographer can snap someamazing photos of this stunning coastline.

Day 4 Pompeii (B,D)

Visit the forgotten city of Pompeii. This city's ruins arefamous for being 'frozen in time' from the eruption of nearby Mt. Vesuvius,which buried the city in ash around 79AD. Take a guided tour of the city afterwhich there is plenty of free time to explore on your own.

Day 5 Walk of the Gods (B,L,D)

Hitting the Amalfi coast again, hike along ancient trailsthrough the idyllic coastal towns of Positano and Praiano. The rough terrainmakes this a challenging hike, but rewards you with spectacular scenery as youcomplete the Walk of the Gods.

Day 6 Grotto Di'smeraldo (B,L,D)

Enjoy more of the famous Italian landscapes as we walkthrough scenic olive groves and vineyards on our way to the Grotto Di'smeraldo.Free time to check out this fascinating cave and explore the surrounding area.

Day 7 Amalfi Coast (B,D)

Spend a final day enjoying the Amalfi region. There areplenty of options to choose from, including a visit to Capri, or renting ascooter and exploring the area local-style, before our final night in Furore.

Day 1 Arrive Furore (D)
For the duration of our trip we stayat the Agritururismo Saint Alfonso, formerly a 16th century monastery, wherethe friendly and hospitable staff is unsurpassed. The monastery is surroundedby colourful gardens, open terraces and endless staircases leading out to lemontree groves and grape vines. Enjoy your meals in an open-air dining area thatoverlooks the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The views from theopen air dinning area down to the blue waters of the Gulf of Salerno below willmake sure you have a great start to every day of your vacation. Off to one sideis a quaint chapel where many locals come to get married during Summer. Howeverthe Sant Alfonso is far enough away from the towns to give you a sense ofabsolute tranquility and harmony. In the cute villages, buildings aresurrounded by gardens and terraces, narrow pebbled streets and endless steps,lemon trees, grape and olive vine's and the perfume of nature. The terraceoverlooks the intensely blue sea in a view that is breathtaking, where you canenjoy a glass of wine after a long day's hike.




Day 2 Ravello (B, D)
We'll visit the musical city ofRavello, made famous by Wagner. Visit Villa Rudolfo. Enjoy your free exploringthe galleries and churches, or just enjoy a gelato and watch life pass by inthe main square of this quaint village.



Day 3 Land's End Walk (B, L, D)
We'll catch a bus along thecoast and then start one of Amalfi's most famous walks to Punta Campanella/Baiadi Larento. As with most of our days the walking route hugs the coastline withwonderful vistas from village to village; today we are treated to spectacularviews of Capri. We cross from the Gulf of Salerno to the Gulf of Naples on thisfull day's walking, with plenty of stops on the way for photos or to relax andtake in the addictive Italian atmosphere and lust for life with a glass ofwine. La Punta Campanella/Baia di Larento are the Amalfi coast's gorgeousLand's end.

For nature lovers and hikers you must not miss the pristine pathsof the Amalfi Coast. The Lattari Mountains, up to Campanella Point, constitutea territory that is one of the most suggestive and celebrated of the world. Itis an impressive show and imposing view of precipitous cliffs above the"pending waves". The itinerary unwinds in the silence of themountainous calm, with scenery of haunting panoramas, far from the coastalcongestion and the ribbon of asphalt highways. The trails run across places ofincomparable beauty, rich with history and culture, where the colors, perfumesand the odors relax and overwhelm the senses.




Day 4 Pompeii ( B, L, D)
Today we head off by train to thefamed ruins of Pompeii. One of Italy's best-known sites it is truly amazingexperience. After the guided tour there is free time to explore the site onyour own.



Day 5 Walk of the Gods ( B, L, D)
Probably the most famouswalk of the Amalfi region, the trail climbs along ridges high above the coastaltowns of Positano and Praiano. Feel in a world of your own as you hike theancient trails, once the only road connecting these two villages. This is themost challenging of our three walks but well worth it for the spectacularscenery and the chance to be so close to nature and the Gods.

The outstandingbeauty of the Amalfi Coast can only be fully appreciated on foot. Followancient paths and trails linking isolated farms, villages, churches andmonasteries. Most of the walking offers amazing views to the rugged coastlinebelow with wonderful vistas from village to village. There are plenty ofopportunities to visit ancient monasteries and exquisite churches.

You willwalk across hilltops, and through vineyards, woods, and chestnut groves, pastalong a high ridge path with abandoned farmhouses and lemon groves. Just whenyou've worked up an appetite you will enjoy fresh seafood caught daily, finewines, delicious home cooked Italian cuisine, and spectacular pastries and icecreams.



Day 6 Grotto Di'smeraldo (B, D)
Walk your way down the coastthrough vineyards and olive groves. Once we make it to our destination theGrotto Di'smeraldo you'll be blown away by the colour of the water in thismaritime cave. Later we spend some time in Amalfi for shopping.



Day 7 Free Day ( B, D)
Take one last day to enjoy more sitesof your choosing along the Amalfi Coast. Perhaps a visit to Capri or Ischaiaentices you; or rent a scooter and beat your own path.



Day 8 Depart Furore (B)
There are no set activities for thisday.
